Breakfast at Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt: Buffet, Selection, and Atmosphere
Breakfast is one of the most sought-after topics and is indeed a hallmark of the Maritim hotels. At the Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt, the day begins in the Danubio restaurant, which boasts a spacious feel and an outdoor terrace of nearly 300 m². Maritim’s signature breakfast buffet is designed for variety: from a wide selection of rolls and breads, gluten-free alternatives, and sweet and savory spreads to muesli and cereal stations, as well as fresh fruit, yogurt, and quark, everything is aimed at comfortably catering to both classic and conscious dietary styles. The offer is complemented by warm components – such as scrambled eggs and small sausages – and breakfast coffee, coffee specialties, and hot chocolate served at the table. Various juices, mineral water, and, following Maritim standards, sparkling wine are available at the buffets; at many locations, smoked salmon is also part of the breakfast experience. Guests benefit from the fact that breakfast focuses on seasonal and regional products. Thanks to the location of the Danubio on the ground floor, the paths are short; in good weather, breakfast often moves to the terrace, where the view towards the Danube and the Neustadt side creates a bright ambiance. Those wishing to stay longer can plan their day right after breakfast: nearby destinations such as the Audi Forum, the pedestrian zone in the old town, or Klenzepark are within a few minutes' walk or drive. Those starting the day actively can enjoy a few laps in the 5×10 m pool or a workout in the fitness room. Families and groups appreciate the spacious tables indoors, while solo travelers highlight the quiet corners and quick access to the city center. Note: Prices for breakfast vary by hotel and are updated daily during the booking process or directly at the hotel.
Parking in the Underground Garage: Access, Rates, and E-Charging Stations
Parking is often a topic near city centers – here it is solved simply. Beneath the building complex of the hotel and Congress Centrum, there is a large underground garage with around 500 parking spaces. Access is via Schloßlände; the height entrance is suitable for standard cars, and signage directs to the hotel entrances. Charging options are provided for electric vehicle users, allowing for convenient charging during the stay. The garage is open 24/7, making it suitable for late arrivals as well as early departures. The distance in kilometers illustrates the accessibility: it is about 4 km from Ingolstadt main train station, and only around 3 km from the A9 motorway. For those arriving by plane, the hotel is approximately 80 km from Munich Airport and about 95 km from Nuremberg Airport. Pricing in the Congress garage is based on municipal rate tables; on weekdays, there is a half-hour free parking period with quick exit, followed by 30-minute intervals, with a maximum daily rate of about €13. In the evenings and on weekends and holidays, discounted flat rates apply. For hotel guests, this means transparent conditions in close proximity to their rooms and event spaces, without the hassle of searching for parking in public streets. For charging times at the E-stations, it is advisable to check the accepted charging cards and rates on-site. Furthermore, the city center is within walking distance, making it easy to leave the car parked after arrival. Those with luggage can use the elevators from the garage directly to the lobby or the event levels of the Congress Centrum – short distances are part of the concept.
Rooftop Terrace with Castle View: Events Above the Rooftops of Ingolstadt
A unique feature of the location is the rooftop terrace on the 4th floor of the Congress Centrum Ingolstadt, which is directly connected to the hotel. With an area of around 559 m², it is suitable for various formats, from summer get-togethers to champagne receptions and BBQ evenings. In practice, this means space for up to about 250 people in the outdoor area – ideal for incentives, casual wind-downs after a conference, or private occasions. The view extends over the rooftops of the city center to the New Castle, providing an impressive backdrop, especially during the golden hour. The terrace is equipped with Wi-Fi and can be accessed via wide entrances from the conference foyers; the combination with indoor spaces allows for flexible alternatives in case of bad weather. For event planners, it is important to note: due to the direct connection to the conference areas, catering stations, lighting, and sound can be easily integrated. Those planning a wedding often use the terrace for the aperitif or photo shoot with the castle silhouette before heading into one of the halls. The location is also popular for product presentations or networking evenings, as it combines the city ambiance with an exclusive setting. In the warmer months, the rooftop area also offers special formats like sundowner receptions; individual public events take place here, but the majority of usage remains reserved for private events. Guests wishing to enjoy the view independently of an event should inquire in advance about accessible times during their stay. Conclusion: The rooftop terrace is a visual and emotional highlight of the ensemble – urban, open, with a clear sightline to the historic heart of Ingolstadt.

For longer stays, a room category with additional seating is recommended. Allergy-friendly options as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes in the restaurants are part of the offering. Check-in is from 3 PM, and check-out is until 12 PM – a framework that accommodates both early risers and late sleepers well.

For international guests, arrival via Munich or Nuremberg is straightforward, and for regional visitors via the A9.
Weddings, Conferences, and Room Plans: CCI, Capacities, and Seating Arrangements
With direct access to the Congress Centrum Ingolstadt (CCI), the Maritim Hotel is an event venue with remarkable capacities. A total of 13 rooms are available: 12 flexibly combinable conference rooms and the multifunctional Ingolstadt hall, which serves as the centerpiece, including a gallery. This hall offers around 1,132 m² of space in theater seating for up to 1,274 people, features a stage of approximately 180 m², natural light, a height of about 8.3 m, and an innovative lighting/sound concept. For medium formats, the combinable area Conference 1+2+3 is recommended, with around 418 m² and capacities for about 500 people in theater seating; additional conference zones (e.g., 4+5+6) complement the offering for seminars, workshops, or banquets. For exclusive celebrations, an elegant hall within the hotel itself is also available, accommodating up to about 152 people – popular for banquets or larger family gatherings. Those planning a wedding benefit from the combination: civil or church ceremonies in the old town or surrounding areas and the celebration in the CCI, aperitif on the rooftop terrace, dinner in the hall or in the large conference areas. A practical "room plan" is available through the online room profiles with details on square meters, door sizes, ceiling heights, and possible seating arrangements (theater, parliament, round or long banquet, block, U-shape). The Maritim team supports with technology, stage construction, and catering – from conference setup to gala decoration. Thanks to the underground garage, suppliers, bands, and technical service providers can quickly access the loading zones. For international guests, arrival via Munich or Nuremberg is straightforward, and for regional visitors via the A9. This infrastructure, combined with hotel comfort and on-site dining, reduces interfaces and makes planning efficient.
Address, Directions, and Surroundings: How to Quickly Find Your Destination
The Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt is located at Schloßlände 24, 85049 Ingolstadt – within walking distance to the old town and directly on the Danube. The distances to key points are compact: main train station about 4 km, A9 about 3 km, Audi Forum around 3 km, and Ingolstadt Village about 6 km. For travelers by car, access via Schloßlände is clearly signposted; after entering the underground garage, elevators lead directly to the lobby, room wings, and event levels of the Congress Centrum. Public transport connections are within short distance; taxis regularly service the area in front of the hotel. For cyclists, the location on the Danube bike path is attractive; the hotel provides practical basics for multi-day tours such as secure parking and information on eco-friendly arrival and departure. Those coming from Munich Airport should plan for about 60–75 minutes of travel time, depending on traffic; similar relaxed connections are available from Nuremberg. Upon arrival, walks along the Danube promenade are recommended; culturally, the New Castle, the city museum, or thematically the Audi Forum are worth visiting. Shopping and dining in the old town can be reached on foot, allowing the car to stay in the garage. For navigation, the location can be easily found in map apps; the hotel website also offers a dedicated directions page with descriptions and distance information. Overall, the combination of a central yet conveniently accessible location ensures short distances – regardless of whether you are in the city for business, culture, or relaxation.
Photos, Menu, Reviews, and New Year's Eve 2025: Where to Discover Everything
If you want to get a preview, you can find interior and exterior photos on the official hotel photo page, including rooms, lobby, restaurants, pool, and conference areas; a virtual tour is also often available. Culinary-wise, it is worth checking the pages of the in-house restaurants: Danubio is known for breakfast and offers seasonal specials; Bistro Ingold has a separate menu with appetizers, soups, main courses, and desserts that is regularly updated; there is also a piano bar and the café barRista. Reviews often highlight the modern facilities, the friendliness of the team, cleanliness, and the generous breakfast; occasionally, there are mentions of detail requests in service – overall, the tone is positive. At the turn of the year: The Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt hosted a grand New Year's Eve ball right at its opening; corresponding arrangements are centrally communicated by Maritim. For the respective annual program (e.g., New Year's Eve offers), it is advisable to check the offer and blog pages of the hotel group as well as travel providers listing complete packages with participation in the New Year's Eve ball. Since dates and content are published anew each year, the official hotel website is the most reliable source for current information. For organizers and couples, it is worthwhile to have a conversation with the event team in advance to create the right combination of room, menu, and supporting program – from rooftop receptions to banquet seating to technology and decor. A tip for anyone planning photos: the castle backdrop and the Danube promenade offer motifs within a short walking distance, making them ideal for both weddings and corporate events.

A beautiful hotel located right on the Danube with all amenities including a small but nice wellness area with a pool. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented, you can feel that the guest is the focus. The rooms are very large, modern, and almost luxurious. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is absolutely top-notch. However, there is a small downside in the bistro "Ingold", which, while offering a good selection of purely plant-based dishes, unfortunately uses convenience products; it would be very easy to showcase fresh products, especially with plant-based dishes. The service at "Ingold" was excellent, though. From the hotel, parking is available at a very fair daily rate in the hotel garage, and both the beautiful city center and numerous attractions are easily reachable on foot. We stayed for three nights and can highly recommend the Maritim Ingolstadt, especially considering the price-performance ratio.

The hotel is one of the best in Germany that I've ever been to! The breakfast is huge - there's everything from juice to champagne to mini cakes! The room was very clean and nice, the bathroom was breathtaking, the only problem was that the door fell off because it was a sliding door. But hey, things happen. The bar is top-notch, the restaurant is amazing! The food tastes outstandingly good. Everyone is very friendly. Unfortunately, we found out too late that there is also a spa area (I'm a bit sad about that, but it can't be helped). Parking costs something in the underground garage, by the way. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Nice hotel with very small weaknesses. The location is really good, you can reach the city center in just a few minutes on foot. Large parking garage, at 13€/day already considered cheap. Breakfast is very good with a rich selection. What personally bothered me was that there are only small cups and I didn't want to drink my coffee from a glass! The staff in the breakfast area could also smile a bit and not take away the plates while you're still eating! It wasn't just us, and that's unacceptable! The shower is really generous, but it's unfortunate that this hotel also doesn't clean the drains, and the bathroom ends up underwater. We reported it, but it didn't really get better afterward. The light switch in the bathroom is way too bright and can't be dimmed. You have the choice between carnival lighting, a switch in the shower, or floodlights. The shower only allows temperature changes, no strength. Used dishes sit in the hallway for hours at night, which doesn't look very appetizing and also has something to do with fire safety. Would we book here again? Yes, we definitely would.
