Cosmos Bowling Arena | Prices & Opening Hours

The Cosmos Bowling Arena at Richard-Wagner-Strasse 65 in 85057 Ingolstadt stands for uncomplicated leisure fun with bowling, billiards, arcade games, and gastronomy all under one roof. The location right next to WestPark makes getting there easy, parking is plentiful, and those who prefer to come by bus have convenient options with the INVG lines 50, 58, and 70. Pricing remains transparent: starting at €27 per hour and lane, rental shoes cost €2.50 per pair, and disposable socks €0.50. For planning, the clear time logic from the FAQs helps: A game lasts about 15 minutes per person, with a maximum of 6 people playing per lane – ideal for families, groups of friends, birthdays, or corporate evenings. Additionally, an in-house pro shop, a play arena with newly stocked machines, and a kitchen offering burgers, pizza, and buffets provide rounded experiences that go beyond just bowling.

Prices & Opening Hours in the Cosmos Bowling Arena Ingolstadt

The pricing structure is dependent on the day of the week and time of day and applies per hour per lane. From Tuesday to Thursday, a lane costs €27 between 3 PM and 6 PM and €30 between 6 PM and 10 PM. On Fridays, the rates are €27 from 3 PM to 6 PM, €33 from 6 PM to 8 PM, and €39 from 8 PM to midnight. On Saturdays, guests pay €33 between 2 PM and 8 PM and €39 from 8 PM to midnight. On Sundays, the rate is consistently €33 per hour and lane from 2 PM to 10 PM. Additionally, rental shoes in sizes 28 to 50 are available for €2.50 per pair; those without their own socks can use disposable hygiene socks for €0.50. This pricing information is particularly relevant for groups, as the duration of bowling is easily planable: A game takes about 15 minutes per person. From the formula “number of players × 15 minutes × number of games,” a realistic time requirement for the lane can be derived. Thus, a group of four for two games calculates around 120 minutes, plus time for changing shoes and possible breaks. For the visit itself, it is advisable to check the seasonal opening hours. In autumn/winter (valid from September 16, 2025), Mondays are closed, Tuesdays to Thursdays are open from 3 PM to 10 PM, Fridays from 3 PM to midnight, Saturdays from 2 PM to midnight, and Sundays from 2 PM to 10 PM. Deviations may occur depending on guest volume, which is why spontaneous extensions or earlier closing times are possible. Those who want to plan securely should check the current daily times in advance or reserve a lane. The clear tiering by time periods also makes saving easier: Those who want to bowl cheaper can use the time slots before 6 PM on weekdays or the early times on Sundays. The planability with fixed hourly rates per lane makes the offer transparent and family-friendly.

In addition to bowling, billiards and the play area are part of the pricing structure. Billiards is charged per hour and table: Sunday to Thursday €9 (3–6 PM) and €12 (6–10 PM); Friday and Saturday €9 until 6 PM, €12 from 6 PM to 8 PM, and €15 from 8 PM. A deposit of €20 is required for chalk and balls. The minute-accurate billing after the first hour gives guests the flexibility to extend or end the session. With this combination, the arena addresses both casual players and groups who want to combine several activity stations in one evening.

Reservation & Booking – How to Do It Stress-Free

If you have a specific time in mind or want to come with several people, it is best to use the reservation function on the website. This can be accessed via “Reserve”; to use it, consent to cookies is required as an external service is integrated. Alternatively, telephone booking via 0841 83670 is available – ideal if you need to clarify questions about times or availability at short notice. Especially on weekends and in the evenings, the sought-after slots fill up quickly, so early reservation is recommended, which also speeds up check-in on-site. The payment modalities depend on the chosen service: Billing is done per hour and lane. If billiards, food, or drinks are added, these items will be accordingly supplemented. For groups, companies, or birthdays, there are promotions and packages. Under “Promotions & Events,” regularly changing specials can be found. Popular are family bowling time slots (one lane, one hour at a fixed price until 8 PM including rental shoes) as well as offers for children's birthdays with included services. For children's birthdays, a total package of bowling, rental shoes, drinks, and kids' menu is often provided; sometimes, a second lane is offered for free from a certain group size – this keeps the pace of play comfortable for children's groups. For companies, it is worthwhile to check the conditions for groups of 20 or more or the booking of multiple lanes. Attractive packages for team events can usually be put together here.

To ensure the evening runs smoothly, it is advisable to consider the basic game and process guidelines from the FAQs. A maximum of 6 people per lane keeps waiting times short and ensures better game flow. The 15-minute formula helps with time planning; if two games per person are planned, two hours should be booked accordingly. Sneakers with light soles are not allowed – bowling rental shoes are mandatory, also for safety and lane protection reasons. A minimum age of 6 years is recommended. Those using their own bowling equipment can contact the pro shop, which offers professional services around ball drilling, grip size adjustments, and ball maintenance. These services are particularly useful when a corporate event or a regular group is being set up and the material needs to be kept in good condition regularly.

Directions & Parking at Richard-Wagner-Strasse 65 (WestPark)

The Cosmos Bowling Arena is located at Richard-Wagner-Strasse 65 in Ingolstadt, directly next to the WestPark shopping center. This is a clear advantage for arriving by car: There are about 3,300 free parking spaces available on the premises and in the WestPark parking garages, including the East parking deck with access via Richard-Wagner-Strasse. E-charging stations are available; depending on the parking area, there are several direct accesses to the center. Those coming from the direction of Hochkreisel should follow the signage and can turn into the West parking garage; further accesses are available via the street “Am WestPark.” For guests of the bowling arena, these parking options are the most straightforward choice, as the paths are short and there is no long search for parking. Please note: Some parking spaces are designated as customer parking and may be subject to time limits; the exact signs on-site are decisive. Those wishing for barrier-free access will find corresponding parking spaces and elevators in WestPark.

Public transport also makes accessibility uncomplicated. The INVG bus lines 50, 58, and 70 connect to WestPark and run regularly. From the stops, it is just a short walk to the Cosmos Bowling Arena at Richard-Wagner-Strasse. For guests using taxis or ride-sharing, it is advisable to mention the exact house number 65 and possibly agree on a meeting point at the East parking deck to reduce waiting times. For navigation devices, entering the address “Richard-Wagner-Strasse 65, 85057 Ingolstadt” is sufficient. The arena's telephone center can be reached at 0841 83670 if there are any questions about directions at short notice. Those combining their visit with shopping or a movie benefit from the infrastructure of WestPark – with the abundance of parking spaces, the path layout, and the signage on-site, orientation is easy.

Photos & Reviews: Impressions and Planning Tips

For a first impression before the visit, it is worth looking at the gallery of the Cosmos Bowling Arena. The pictures show the atmosphere, lane areas, billiards, and the gastronomic zones – practical for pre-planning the suitable seating or waiting area for groups. Additionally, public industry and directory portals provide overview data. On aggregators, alongside general opening hours, summarized review information also appears. For instance, an industry overview lists local reviews as well as Google ratings, which are positioned in the middle range for the arena. These brief summaries help calibrate expectations: Those who value a quiet game choose off-peak times and avoid peak times on Friday and Saturday evenings; those seeking a party atmosphere consciously plan for the later slots on weekends. In all reviews, it is important to note that they are snapshots, often dependent on mood and day form, and do not necessarily say anything about one's own experience at the chosen time.

For planning hosts – such as parents organizing a children's birthday party or team leads organizing an after-work event – it is advisable to check two things: First, the current promotions of the week, which sometimes offer price advantages or included services (for example, family bowling until 8 PM including rental shoes). Second, the capacity planning per lane to keep waiting times in check. Families with younger children particularly benefit from shorter playing times or booking an additional lane to match the pace. The formula from the FAQs (15 minutes per person and game) is a useful guideline for this. For image motifs and social media posts, the striking lighting situations at the lanes and the retro look of some machines in the play arena are suitable. Those wanting to capture memories should pay attention to glare-free angles when photographing and respect the privacy of other guests.

Billiards, Play Arena & Pro Shop: Offers Beyond Bowling

The Cosmos Bowling Arena sees itself as an experience location that bundles several leisure offerings. On the one hand, billiards is a fixed component – with clearly defined hourly rates that vary depending on the day of the week and time of day. The deposit of €20 for chalk and balls ensures that the material is completely returned; after the first hour, billing is done minute by minute, making spontaneous extensions uncomplicated. On the other hand, the play arena has even more variety since July 2025: new machines and classics such as air hockey, foosball, darts, basketball games, driving simulators, and 90s arcade games. Such zones are suitable for bridging waiting times or as a “stopover” for participants who are not currently at the lane. This is an advantage, especially for groups with very different interests – while some bowl, others duel at the air hockey table or test the basketball machine.

The pro shop rounds off the offer. Here, expert advice, measuring and adjusting grip sizes, drilling for new bowling balls, refurbishing used balls, fillings, new drillings, and repairs are available. Those wanting to delve deeper into the hobby benefit from a variety of brands (including Brunswick, Storm, Motiv, Ebonite, Roto Grip, Hammer, Track, DV8, Radical, Global 900, as well as shoe brands like Dexter, 3G, Etonic). The shop's opening hours are specified separately (e.g., Wednesdays 6–8 PM with the possibility of arranging special appointments). For teams or league players, the shop is a central point of contact to combine material care and fine-tuning. For beginners, it is the address to have their first own ball properly adjusted – this reduces incorrect postures, improves control, and increases the fun of the game.

Food, Drinks & Celebrations: Gastronomy and Promotions

The Cosmos Bowling Arena includes a gastronomy that is oriented towards the taste of a leisure location: burgers, pizza, finger food, tarte flambée, and salads are the basis, along with drinks and buffet options if needed. For groups, the kitchen offers themed buffets on pre-order, such as Bavarian (with roast suckling pig, turkey thigh, dumplings, spaetzle, dessert classics), a gourmet buffet (e.g., pork medallions, duck breast, zander fillet, sides like potato gratin and buttered vegetables, desserts like panna cotta), or TexMex variants (chili con carne, chicken wings, BBQ spare ribs, onion rings, country potatoes, corn on the cob, etc.). Such packages facilitate planning for children's birthdays and family celebrations, as food, playtime, and logistics interlock. Additionally, the “Promotions & Events” regularly advertise family bowling slots at fixed prices until 8 PM including rental shoes, special kids' packages (for example, 2 hours of bowling including rental shoes, drink, and kids' menu; from the seventh child, a second lane is often free) as well as conditions for corporate evenings and groups when multiple lanes or certain participant numbers are reached.

When planning a celebration, it is ideal to combine a reservation with early coordination on food, buffets, or allergies. For smooth flow, it has proven effective to split the group at the lane into two smaller teams to reduce downtime between throws. Catering can be timed so that finger food is ready at the start of the game and warm dishes are served during the break. For companies, the combination of uncomplicated access, ample parking at WestPark, and the options of pro shop, billiards, and arcade games provides a reliable framework for team building, incentives, or year-end parties. Since the arena is closed on Mondays (seasonal regulation autumn/winter), particularly Tuesdays to Thursdays are suitable for quieter corporate evenings with good availability.

Practical Tips: Equipment, Game Pace, Safety

Even though bowling looks uncomplicated, a brief look at equipment and rules is worthwhile to preserve the lanes and ensure game fun. Rental shoes are mandatory – sneakers, even with light soles, are not permitted. There are reasons for this: Bowling lanes are oiled and sensitive; incorrect footwear can leave marks or lead to slipping hazards. Those who own their own equipment should check the fit of grip sizes together with the pro shop in advance; small adjustments improve control and reduce the risk of injury. For beginners, lighter balls and a calm technique are recommended before attempting spin throws. The pace: With a maximum of 6 people per lane, waiting times remain moderate; for larger groups, adding a second lane is sensible. The time formula (15 minutes per person and game) allows for good timing of snacks, breaks, and billiard detours. For children, it is advisable to choose early time slots and use the lane with bumpers (if available) to prevent the balls from landing in the gutter – this creates a quicker sense of achievement. It is important to know that the prices refer to the lane, not to the person for billing. Those who want to play cost-effectively can use the cheaper time blocks before 6 PM on weekdays or plan for Sunday afternoons.

Parking and access information rounds off safety: In WestPark, the paths are well signposted; access via Richard-Wagner-Strasse to the East parking deck is straightforward, from there it is just a short walk to the arena. Those driving electric vehicles will find charging options in the center area. When taking the bus, it is advisable to arrive at the stops at WestPark, served by lines 50, 58, and 70. In unfavorable weather or peak times, it is advisable to plan a little ahead to change shoes calmly, enter names at the console, and possibly organize children's aids (lighter balls, ramps, bumpers). For questions, the arena can be reached by phone; the team on-site also assists with learning at the lane or resolving small technical issues, such as when a pin gets stuck.

So where should I start? The restrooms were an absolute nightmare. It smelled in the toilet and the whole floor was covered in urine, comparable to a rest stop toilet. The idea of party music is cool, but after a while, the volume becomes uncomfortable. Regarding the lanes, they had constant issues, like the pin getting stuck in the outer gutter, and you had to call a worker to bring it back, which wastes time. The system also takes forever to get everything ready. It looks pretty outdated too. Even before you could play, there were organizational problems, and you had to wait 10 minutes. For the price, I wouldn't go back until these mentioned issues are fixed!

It's a shame that you're left standing in the cold because apparently, they can't read the clock. Also, the service for food and drinks is more than questionable. You order twice before you get anything because you were forgotten, and even with problems at the bowling lane, you have to hope for the staff's attention. The ball selection is also lacking, especially with kids, as two lanes have to share one ball because there aren't any more available. But if you manage to get to the end, you conveniently have to pay twice, once for the lane and then at another register for the food (why? Why not one bill?). On our next visit, we will go to the competition again.

Actually a pretty nice place with great games for exciting evenings. Unfortunately, my evening ended with hearing damage because the music was so excessively loud that even the speakers were sometimes overwhelmed, and occasionally all you could hear was a shrill screeching with bass. When I kindly asked to turn the music down a bit, they responded by turning it up. I don't like to give bad reviews, but if you're prone to hearing damage or already have some, you should avoid this place, especially when a DJ is playing.

Man, man, what's the point of bowling shoes when you're standing in the restroom up to your knees in pee? The problem is that bowling and food/drinks are two separate issues, and no one communicates. Food arrived after an hour even though it wasn't busy, and everything was delayed by 10 minutes. For four people. The guy at the bowling lane cares more about the money than the customers, and to top it off, he blames the service for his mess.

Bowling itself was very good. After bowling, we ordered some food. It took over an hour for the first dishes to arrive. My son ordered nuggets with fries. The nuggets came without the fries. My burger and fries arrived half an hour after the others had eaten. So, eating here is not recommended.
